Kids museum Villa Zebra asked us to create dolls for the interactive exhibition 'Heel Kapot' ('Complete-ly Broken') that took place from September 2006 till February 2007. We made six life-sized dolls that you could take apart and put together again, any way you want! The cool thing about the bodyparts is that there's something 'wrong' with each one.
Think of various wounds and scars, beer-bellies, cross eyed, piercings, tattoos, feet with six toes and so on... We turned six m2 of Villa Zebra into a little hospital.
Dressed like doctors the kids went crazy: they performed CPR, delivered babies and cleaned wounds on patients they had created themselves. Anything was possible!!
