In April 2008 we were invited by the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam (where we went to art school ourselves) to give a customizing-workshop as part of a so called 'project week'. We gave the 27 students a special assignment: everybody had to pick an object (this could be anything!) and hand it to a fellow student. The other student had to customize the object, within the restrains given by the owner of the object. For example the girl with the black hat, Joline, gave a lampshade to Viva. Joline wanted it to become something for her kitchen. And she wanted it to be 'edible'. So Viva made a breakfast-table-lampshade!
We were happy to see many students working with materials and techniques they had never worked with before.
So take a look at some of the results!!
